Please read these terms carefully before using Fresh Coast Beacons ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms.
Fresh Coast Beacons is a personal reference tool for tracking visits to Michigan lighthouses. The App is provided for informational and recreational purposes only. You may use the App for your personal, non-commercial use.
The App includes lighthouse locations, names, and other reference data sourced from public records. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that any information in the App is accurate, complete, or current. GPS coordinates are approximate and may not reflect exact lighthouse positions. Lighthouse details such as status, accessibility, and physical conditions may have changed since the data was compiled.
You should not rely solely on the App for navigation or route planning. Always verify conditions independently and use proper navigation tools when traveling.
Visiting lighthouses and other outdoor locations involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: uneven terrain, water hazards, weather conditions, restricted or private property, and physical exertion. You assume full responsibility for your own safety when visiting any location referenced in the App.
The App does not assess the safety, accessibility, legality of access, or current conditions of any location. You are solely responsible for evaluating whether it is safe and appropriate to visit a given site.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of Fresh Coast Beacons shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App. This includes but is not limited to:
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Some lighthouses may be located on private property or in areas with restricted access. The inclusion of a lighthouse in the App does not imply that you have permission to visit or access the site. Always respect posted signs, property boundaries, and local regulations.
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Fresh Coast Beacons. The App is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
We may update these terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
